Dr. Christopher Carr, a Pittsburgh native, began his professional journey at the University of South Carolina’s School of Public Health, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology. Continuing his graduate studies at Life University in Atlanta, and later at Palmer West College of Chiropractic in San Jose, California, he developed a deep understanding of how structural alignment, nutrition, and overall lifestyle can impact a patient’s quality of life. During his time at Palmer West, Dr. Carr expanded his focus to sports-related injuries, spinal biomechanics, and the often-overlooked yet critically important area of neuropathy—nerve-related conditions that can affect everything from movement to sensation. After completing his Doctorate, Dr. Carr practiced in Marina Del Rey, California, before returning home to Pittsburgh to be closer to his family.
Over his 21-year career, Dr. Carr has been blessed to care for more than 14,000 patients. His comprehensive approach emphasizes patient education, early intervention, and personalized treatment plans that frequently integrate spinal rehabilitation, nutritional support, and specific neuropathy therapies. He takes pride in helping individuals who have struggled with neuropathic pain for years, or who have tried numerous other avenues without success, to finally regain sensation, stability, mobility, and hope. In addition to private practice, Dr. Carr operates a pro-bono chiropractic clinic at the Washington City Mission. Here, he works alongside primary care providers, physical therapists and mental health counselors, offering homeless and uninsured patients a holistic, drug-free approach to pain management. This community-focused initiative is the first of its kind in Western Pennsylvania, reflecting his commitment to improving access to preventive and urgent health services. Dr. Carr and his family—his wife, Taylor; their children, Maddox and Blakely; and their beloved dogs, Bruno and Duke—reside in North Strabane. Deeply connected to the Pittsburgh region, Dr. Carr’s overarching mission remains the same: to promote wellness, educate patients, and provide cutting-edge care that addresses the root causes of discomfort, thereby improving the health and vitality of every individual he serves.
